The Singing Girls of Texas is an exciting new ensemble consisting of girls
from grades 9 through 12 at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. They
are bursting onto the choral scene in Texas and across the United States
with their outstanding vocal blend, variety of repertoire, passion for
music, and excellent presentation. They are led by their director,
Mark L. Stamper.![]() The Singing Girls of Texas is striving to perform as a nationally recognized professional girls choir, and to train young musicians to become among the best in the world. They are proudly associated with The Texas Boys Choir, their brother chorus and the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts where all these students receive excellent training in the arts, as well as their academic studies. "The Singing Girls of Texas concert was a splendid happening of discipline and decorum and intellectual attachment to what they were doing. They were a non-descript group before the performance, but given the calling of the group, they responded as professional performers. Their selections were fresh and rewarding, and even those pieces that were familiar were given new and vivacious settings, but add to this the choreography, staging and dancers and you begin to get the full impact."
